As a Production Supervisor specialty in Paint Section at ALEC FITOUT, you’ll play a key role in managing and overseeing painting and finishing operations within the joinery factory. About Your Team
You will report to the Commercial Manager and play a pivotal role within the Commercial Department, coordinating with project managers, design, procurement, and production teams to align finishing requirements with project specifications and ensure seamless execution.
Your Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will manage and oversee painting and finishing activities within the joinery factory to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and overseeing daily paint section operations including surface preparation, staining, polishing, and spray painting
- Interpreting finishing requirements based on technical drawings and approved samples
- Assigning tasks to painting staff in line with production schedules and capacity
- Inspecting finished surfaces to ensure high-quality results free from defects
- Coordinating with production and design teams to ensure correct materials and finishes are applied
- Ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation of spray booths, tools, and polishing equipment
- Monitoring material usage (paints, lacquers, thinners) to minimize waste
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
- Training and supporting staff in modern finishing techniques (PU, NC, water-based, etc.)
- Preparing daily reports and updating progress to management
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 5+ years in painting, polishing, or finishing within joinery or manufacturing environments, with supervisory experience
Knowledge: Wood finishing techniques, coatings, surface preparation, and workshop workflows
Expertise: Spray painting systems, polishing machines, finishing materials, and quality control processes
Top Skills
- Qualification in an appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Strong knowledge of wood finishes, lacquers, PU coatings, and surface preparation
- Ability to interpret finish samples and technical drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to premium finish quality
- Knowledge of spray booth and polishing equipment operations
