JOB PURPOSE
To manage the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the department’s strategic goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems to ensure uninterrupted and efficient service.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all wet utilities' infrastructure.
- Lead, supervise, and support technical staff and field teams to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards
- Monitor budgets, optimize resource usage, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate and manage responses to emergencies, breakdowns, or service disruptions.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and service levels.
- Liaise with internal departments, contractors, and external government bodies for coordination and approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering
- Experiences: 10 years and Preferred 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Certifications: Preferred PMP, NEBOSH, or certifications related to water utility management or health and safety.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have experience in pressured plus gravity projects
- Gulf/UAE experience preferred
- Strong design background + review/coordination
- Strong English / Arabic is a strong advantage
