Stormwater/Wastewater Maintenance Trades Helper to maintain and repair stormwater and wastewater assets such as storm drains, wastewater/stormwater lines, and lift stations. Work is performed under regular supervision on military installations.
Salary
$17.45 plus $4.57 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401K!

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance and repair of stormwater and wastewater operations
- Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the surrounding areas of the stormwater and wastewater stations
- Load and transport equipment, materials, pumps, and any other supplies in preparation for work
- Abide by general safety practices while conducting daily work, including wearing personal protective equipment such as eye/face protective gear, ear protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other mission specific equipment as required based on the tasks
- Conduct upkeep of machinery and tools used and repair as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of mechanics and operation of sewage treatment plant pumps and pump systems; machinery, equipment, materials and operating procedures of a modern wastewater treatment facility
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in wastewater/ storm water maintenance
- Operator-in-Training Certificate or Wastewater Level 1
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check to obtain base access
- Reliable: wants to be part of a team
- U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30 hour
Physical Requirements
- Tasks require the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort
- Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Some lifting to include overhead lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (10-20 pounds)
- May occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 50 pounds)
