EMI Services is Hiring a
Wastewater/Stormwater General Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair wastewater and stormwater assets such as storm drains, wastewater/stormwater lines, and lift stations. Work is performed under regular supervision on military installations.
Salary
$23.26 plus $4.57 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401K!

Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repair of sewer and storm water systems including pipes, manholes, catch basins, and lift stations
- Perform inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of sewer lines, lift stations, pumps, manholes, and alarms
- Perform inspections cleaning, maintenance of stormwater catch-basins, culverts, lift stations, drains, and pipes
- Perform detailed reports of completed inspections, cleaning, and repairs
- Clear blockages of sewer and storm water lines
- Perform in a standby (on-call) status and work during wet weather
- Abide by general safety practices while conducting daily work, including wearing personal protective equipment such as eye/face protective gear, ear protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other mission specific equipment as required based on the tasks
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Essential Skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing for sewer and stormwater systems
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used for plumbing repair
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to communicate and create documents for job execution
- Speak and understand English to effectively communicate with fellow employees, customers, and vendors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in wastewater/ stormwater maintenance
- Knowledge of plumbing and sewer operations
- Valid driver's license, CDL preferred but not required
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check to obtain base access
- Reliable: wants to be part of a team
- U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Preferred Qualifications
- CA Wastewater I
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30 hour
Physical Requirements
- Tasks require the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort
- Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Some lifting to include overhead lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (10-20 pounds)
- May occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 50 pounds)
