Primary Objective
Industrial Facilities Engineering Waste Water Treatment Technician
Shift: E Shift: 8 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday
Major Areas Of Accountability
- Provide cultural leadership by exemplifying core values
- Coordinate/Plan/Perform equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements
- Contractor management
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and be directly involved in SOP development and training
- Support root cause investigations and implementation of solutions
- Technical expert on conversion of city water to ultra pure water including process, equipment, and instrumentation. Chlorination and dichlorination (SO2), reclaim systems, ultra filter sanitizations, ion exchange regeneration, HF neutralization, industrial waste neutralization, RO membranes, carbon filters, cation and anion exchange, mixed beds, vacuum degas, UV light system, and ozone sterilization.
- Coordination of outfall sampling
- Partnering with ESH for waste water treatment and regulations.
- Familiarity with instrumentation: conductivity, resistivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, TOC, LPC's flow meters, fluoride, ozone, chlorine, turbidity, pressure, silica, and temperature.
- Unloading and receipt of chemical deliveries, storage of chemicals, review of certificate of analysis
- Develop annual plans for activities within equipment area as well as capital planning
- Ensure site uptime and equipment reliability.
- Management of chemical inventory, FIFO
- Temperature recording and monitoring of fridges and freezers
- Hazardous waste handling
- Resist cannister changes
- Maintain supply and quality parameters of chemical and slurry distributions.
- Responsibilities include drum/tote/isotainer chemical offloading to bulk tanks, chemical batch processing, SPC chart monitoring of processes, chemical sampling.
- Maintain equipment uptime through maintenance activities and troubleshooting of system equipment which include valves, filters, piping, pumps, instrumentation and other components.
- Ability to operate system equipment via HMI for batch creation and - or distribution.
- Ability to monitor and operate HVAC equipment and respond to key equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, and chillers which are critical for clean room operations.
- Other key equipment: scrubber systems, fire system, vacuum, compressed air
- Operate the DI water plant
- Perform system rounds and rotate equipment
- Work within defined technical processes and procedures.
- Initiate and drive continuous improvements.
- Uphold area upkeep and 5S principles.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery including forklift, pallet jack
- Collaborate cross departmentally, escalate as required.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Record keeping, reporting, as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: 2 Year Technical/associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military training/manufacturing work experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience operating wastewater treatment systems.
- 8-10 years related work experience- manufacturing or operations.
- Skills: mechanical inclination, ability to troubleshoot system equipment, good communication, attentive to detail, collaborative.
- US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

Desired Qualifications
- Education: a relevant completed vocational / professional training of at least 3 years
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Boiler license
- Building automation
- EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certificate
The hourly range for this role is $42.46 - $63.69 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors, including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
