About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Wastewater Treatment Specialist to manage equipment and perform tasks that support our production and service units. In this role, you will ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain optimal system performance. An Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Wastewater Operator License Class A or higher is essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with IDEM regulations, possessing a Wastewater Operator License Class A or higher.
- Manage the handling, transportation, and processing of materials, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections and perform necessary maintenance on wastewater treatment equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Operate mobile equipment to facilitate the movement of materials and equipment within the treatment facility.
- Ensure operational readiness by performing manual labor, including lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Work on elevated platforms as needed to access and maintain equipment.
- Monitor and adjust treatment processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possession of an IDEM Wastewater Operator License Class A or higher.
- Ability to perform manual labor and lift over 50 lbs.
- Adherence to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
Preferred Skills
- Experience operating mobile equipment.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy).
- Capability to work on elevated platforms.
- Commitment to punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction.
