About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to support our environmental compliance, field operations, and project‑based initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to ensuring regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
You will work closely with project managers, field teams, and leadership to ensure all environmental standards are met across our job sites and operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM standards
· Perform Tier II and Tier III modeling and evaluation for environmental projects
· Develop remediation designs and support implementation strategies
· Provide remediation oversight and monitoring during field activities
· Conduct Site Remediation Program (SRP) investigations and prepare required regulatory reports
· Oversee Underground Storage Tank (UST) removals and conduct Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) investigations and reporting
· Perform environmental inspections, audits, and assessments across multiple project sites
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
· Prepare and maintain environmental documentation, reports, and permits
· Support environmental planning, sampling, and monitoring activities
· Assist with spill response, waste management, and corrective action plans
· Collaborate with project teams to implement environmental best practices
· Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental policies and procedures
· Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of required documentation
· Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and project teams
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
· 5–10 years of professional experience in environmental compliance, fieldwork, or environmental project support
· Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and state environmental regulations
· Experience with environmental sampling, reporting, and site inspections
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
· 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Ability to travel locally for short-range fieldwork
Preferred Skills
· Experience in project‑based or field‑based industries
· Knowledge of waste management, stormwater, air quality, or hazardous materials
· Familiarity with GIS, environmental software, or digital reporting tools
