We are hiring an
Environmental Program Analyst for one of our clients in
Trenton, NJ.
Job Description:
Under direction of a supervisory official in a state department or agency, engages in completion of environmental review and control tasks relative to assigned program/project areas; reviews applications and associated environmental assessment documents to include the physical, natural, and/or human environment; enforcement of environmental laws and/or regulations; prepares evidence for use in reviews and legal actions; responds to OPRA requests; utilizes GIS to review and analyze applications; assists in the continued development of the program and associated rule amendments as needed; does other related duties as required.
- The Water Quality Management Planning (WQMP) program is the State's implementation of the federal WQMP program, and its program unit requires numerous staff to process applications.
- This Unit determines where sewage generating structures (buildings) can be placed in the State.
- The employee would assist in implementing this program by reviewing various applications and implementing the associated regulations.
Skills Required:
- Strong writing skills for report writing and emails with applicants and consultants.
- Ability to multi-task among various assignments.
- Trainability with IT and GIS functions.
- Exposure to Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive.
Education Required:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Work Hours:
- 8:30 4:00
- Lunch period: 30 minutes (unpaid)
