About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for water treatment facilities. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in water treatment technologies, process optimization, and project management to drive continuous improvement and ensure operational excellence. Your ability to communicate complex ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams will be critical to your success.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to plant personnel, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving business objectives related to safety, quality, efficiency, and new product development.
- Spearhead the planning and execution of capital projects, encompassing project approach, resource allocation, options analysis, process and equipment design, and engineering documentation.
- Drive operational improvements through technical design, process optimization, and implementation of best practices, resulting in enhanced efficiency, reduced waste, and improved product quality.
- Capture and maintain comprehensive technical specifications and information to establish a center of excellence, ensuring knowledge sharing and business continuity.
- Resolve complex technical challenges using data-driven methodologies, innovative techniques, and advanced technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering capital project teams and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with organizational goals.
- Understand regulations and able to work with state authorities to develop permit strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering qualification.
- 15+ years of technical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Professional Engineering (PE) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification are ideal.
- Proficiency in utilizing lean manufacturing principles to drive high-impact process and quality improvement projects, resulting in significant reductions in defects and increased productivity.
- Extensive experience with water treatment technologies, particularly ion exchange systems and other advanced water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Master’s Degree in relevant fields (Engineering, Water, etc.) is helpful.
- Electrical design ability
- Excellent ability to communicate complex ideas and integration of systems.
