Princeton Hydro is seeking a full-time Aquatic Specialist to perform pond and lake management services in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York regional area. Additional travel may be necessary on occasion. This position will be primarily based in our Ringoes, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will possess practical work experience in construction, landscaping or general labor industry. Qualified candidates will also be willing to embrace our firm’s basic core values: integrity, creativity, endeavoring to be the best, fostering human potential, a positive working atmosphere, quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.Key Responsibilities:Apply aquatic and upland pesticides (algaecides/herbicides), and other non-pesticide products (training and licensing will be provided if not already licensed)Assist in managing algae and aquatic vegetation in ponds, lakes, and other water bodies with appropriate training providedInspect, install, and maintain water fountains and aeration systems with appropriate training providedConduct pond and lake assessments.Clean, service, and maintain boats, trailers, equipment, machinery, and facilitiesPerform a variety of field activities in aquatic and upland environmentsOperate boats and amphibious equipment with appropriate training providedRequired Qualifications:Valid driver’s licenseWillingness to work with pesticidesComfortable driving trucks and towing boats or trailersAbility to learn quickly and retain new skillsStrong swimming abilityCommitment to safety in all work activitiesEffective communication skills with team members and clientsAbility to lift and carry 50+ poundsCapable of working both independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving skills and initiativeWillingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight at job sitesOrganized with the ability to maintain a clean and orderly work environmentExperience using hand and power toolsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic computer proficiencyPreferred Qualifications (Not Required):Licensed pesticide applicator or operator.Licensed boat operatorExperience troubleshooting basic electrical systemsExperience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing small enginesIf you don’t meet every qualification listed above but believe you would be a great fit at Princeton Hydro, we strongly encourage you to apply.What We Offer:Medical, dental, and vision insurance;401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary 5% company match;Paid vacation and personal time off;Paid parental leave;Fully paid office closure during the last week of December, giving employees time to reset before the New Year.Princeton Hydro is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
