There are currently two (2) full-time openings in the Water Services Division of the Public Works Department. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs preventive maintenance on internal combustion engines, booster pumps, electric motors, and pipes and appurtenances, and may confer with supervisor regarding major repairs and/or replacement of components or entire units;Inspects production facilities, checks pressures, reservoir levels and status of pumping equipment and pressure regulator stations;Actuates controls - manual, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electric or electronic - to start or stop such functions as may be required;Inspects production facility's equipment through checking oil levels, bearing noises, temperatures, vibrations, and megs electrical windings;Checks amperage, adjusts hydropneumatic settings and checks for sanding conditions;Inspects vacuum manifolds, tachometers, spark plugs, contacts and terminals, gears, control piping, dry wells, strainers, probes and other components;Monitors and maintains chemical application equipment;Reads recorders, meters and gauges, and records readings, makes field computations and adjustments on equipment, immediately reports unusual operating conditions;Maintains and repairs supporting structures, vaults, fencing and sites for any or all production facilities;Performs inspection and maintenance functions in confined spaces;Prepares routine operational and maintenance reports;Performs other related duties as assigned.
