The Construction Inspector inspects project workmanship of sanitary sewer construction, water mains and appurtenances, booster pumping stations, municipal water wells, highway construction, storm drain projects, and all areas within right of way, such as embankments, construction excavation, seeding, and general cleaning.
Education Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
- Three (3) years experience in a non-professional engineering position in construction or surveying work; or
- Combination of experience, training and education.
- Experienced with applying principles and methods of surveying, sediment control procedures (certification), water and sanitary sewer safety regulations, OSHA/MOSHA regulations, compaction techniques, and the testing of construction materials.
Licenses and Certification Requirements:
- Certification in use of nuclear density compaction gauge;
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.

- Non-Exempt, 40-hours per week, permanent position.
- Hourly range: starting $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
