<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;\">Responsible for daily maintenance, cleaning, inspections and repairs of the District\'s water facilities and related infrastructure, including wells, reservoirs and pump stations. Performs a variety of scheduled duties related to the care, upkeep, and maintenance and/or repair of the District\'s water facilities as assigned by the Division Supervisor and/or Director. Responsible for assisting staff in promoting the District\'s mission through the distribution of safe drinking water. Must demonstrate safety leadership by promoting and facilitating the safety of coworkers and the public.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;background:#84BD00;\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">1. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Assists in the maintenance, inspections and repairs of pumps, piping, valves, generators, or any appurtenances related to the District\'s water facilities with general guidance.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">2. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Keeps timely and accurate records of daily inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Cityworks. Reviews, and ensures accuracy of all inspections and work orders created by crew members.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;\">3. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Assists in training new staff on procedures for maintenance and repair of water facilities. At times provide proper road set up for traffic control.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">4. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Evaluates, recommends and communicates repairs, maintenance and concerns related to water facilities with the Division Supervisor and Director.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">5. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;\">Coordinates with IT Operational Technology Division, Water Repair and Replacement Division, and Administrative groups on water system maintenance, field activities and special repairs. Assists the IT Operational Technology Division with capital improvement completion, start-up, testing, and transfer to normal operations and maintenance.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">6. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Actively take part in the Operations On-Call program. Must be able to respond after hours, as needed, to help with emergency situations and repairs.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">7. <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Perform duties as assigned.

<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Prior Work Experience:<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\"> <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">At least two years of job-related experience. Additional technical training in engineering or electrical work is preferred.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Education and Training:<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\"> High school diploma or equivalent required.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Licenses, Certifications, Etc.:
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Valid Utah Commercial Driver\'s License: Class A with Tanker endorsements required, and Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Utah Water Distribution Grade IV certification required.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Utah Water Treatment Grade IV preferred.
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;\">Background Knowledge:
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Requires a broad knowledge of the water industry as it relates to water systems; wells, pumps, PRV\'s, valves, pipelines, and storage reservoirs.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability to perform general mechanical, plumbing and electrical repair and service for District water facilities.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Requires knowledge of the District\'s products and services, and a basic knowledge of operating policies and procedures.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Requires basic knowledge in computer use skills including use of asset management software (Cityworks).
<span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;\">Performance Expectations:
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Must have the ability to regularly lead crew and perform maintenance and repair of water systems infrastructure and appurtenances.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Must be able to make logical decisions using generally recognized skills and techniques.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Must have communication skills with the ability to communicate with the Division Supervisor, Director, the general public, and business vendors.

- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Provides daily direct service to water systems staff. Provides occasional service to the District customers and employees.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Must be able to withstand regular periods of moderate physical or mental activity. Must be flexible to adjust for constantly changing operations.
- <span style=\"font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;\">Work is generally performed during normal business hours. Must be able to work a predictable and consistent schedule with occasional after hours work as may be required and determined by the changing circumstances. Must be able to fulfill emergency first response call responding to District emergencies as needed.
