Civitas Engineering Group, Inc. is a Texas-based civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that specializes in municipal infrastructure engineering. We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time Project Engineer – Water / Wastewater position in our Dallas, Texas office. The position candidate must have the training and experience to lead project teams for the delivery of various types of water, wastewater, and other civil infrastructure projects. Individuals will be responsible for assisting in project delivery and client satisfaction. The candidate must be capable of effective communication and working in a team-oriented manner with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers and/or Task Leads in the development of project scope, goals, design plans, specifications, and deliverables for a variety of Infrastructure Projects.
- Conduct engineering evaluations, determine alternative designs and perform overall engineering and/or process design to address client expectations and ensure contract obligations are met.
- Draft, review, and finalize engineering specifications and submittals for project manuals and engineering reports.
- Coordinate with various committees to address design issues and facilitate the resolution of interdisciplinary issues in a timely manner.
- Perform efficient planning and scheduling of resource requirements for project technical tasks.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Project Managers and/or Task Leads to support the project team.
- Produce and review technical reports to ensure consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation.
- Work closely with various municipalities and water authority clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Civil / Environmental / Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years of related experience in civil engineering design and permitting with knowledge of coordination with clients and internal project teams.
- PE license or ability to acquire PE license via reciprocity or other means.
- Computer Knowledge (Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required; proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar analytical software preferred).
- Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain professional registration.

- Must be able to deliver assignments independently with minimum oversight.
