The Stormwater Inspector will play a crucial role in improving water quality by conducting fieldwork across Summit County. Under the general supervision of the Stormwater Manager, you will visit construction sites, water bodies (Lakes, Rivers, Streams, etc.), and other environmental concerns to ensure compliance with stormwater regulations and best management practices (BMP). Your duties will include document inspections, public outreach, community education, code regulation understanding, and report preparation. May hire a Stormwater Inspector I, II, or III depending on submitted qualifications and experience. SALARY
- Stormwater Inspector I - $21.05 - $29.47/hourly see below (full job description attached)

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Acquire EPA Certification within 12 months of hire date.
- Must possess a valid Driver's license.
- Preference given to candidates with GIS experience

- The position significantly involves [or is heavily focused on] outdoor field work throughout Summit County, including construction sites, water bodies (Lakes, Rivers, Streams, etc…) and other environmental concerns for the purpose of improving water quality.
- Document inspections with photos, checklists, and forms, both paper and electronic, maintains reporting system and databases for inspection tracking.
- Assist in planning and executing events that educate the community on water quality impacts and ways to improve the waterbodies around Summit County.
- Willingness to learn new software, code regulations for Summit County and other aspects of stormwater management as it relates to water quality.
- Implement Best Management Practices (BMP), and stormwater pollution prevention.
- Conduct various field investigations and inspections and associated compliance follow up issues, complaint response, and enforcement of code violations, education, public outreach and report preparation.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
