Location: Charlotte, NC (5 days onsite per week.)
Length: 3 month Temp-to-Perm
Shift: 2nd Shift from 1:30pm - 10:00pm EST every Sunday - Thursday.
Pay: $20/hour W2 (No Corp-to-Corp)
The primary purpose of the Sanitation Technician (Internal) is to ensure the proper sanitizing of production equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of the process equipment by properly schedule sanitation technician.
- Ensure adherence to Master Sanitation and Filler Sanitation schedules.
- Ensure adherence of standard operating procedures.
- Safely work with chemicals.
- Maintain records of sanitation related activities.
- Foster and help maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain a professional manner when working and communicating with all company personnel.
- Identify recommendations to improve processes.
- Notify the manager when problems arise that cannot be quickly corrected.
- Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
- Perform duties in a manner that promotes efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Position Competencies:
- Understanding of and experience with sanitation requirements, equipment, and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry standard cleaning procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (includes nights/weekends/holidays).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- 1-year related experience in food safety, including manufacturing environments.
- Positive and dependable with the ability to participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
- Problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
- Must be self-motivated, positive, have a high degree of integrity, dependability & participate as a team member to achieve common goals with a sense of urgency.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP, Safe Quality Food Principles, and Food Defense Principles.
- Understand, speak, read, and write English.
