Our client, a prominent national leader in engineering and architectural consulting, is seeking a driven Water/Wastewater Practice Leader to join their growing water services team. Primary Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development of water and wastewater treatment solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and adherence to performance standards.
- Execute process design tasks, including mass and energy balance calculations, utilizing sophisticated modeling tools.
- Collaborate with a diverse range of clients across public and private sectors to deliver tailored solutions.
- Engage in the research, development, and application of cutting-edge techniques in water and wastewater treatment, particularly in water reuse and both aerobic and anaerobic processes.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams on various projects, contributing technical expertise and insights.
- Provide subject matter expertise, offering technical advice and support to colleagues and clients alike.
- Participate in client-facing meetings and presentations, clearly communicating complex technical details to a broad audience.
- Manage the commissioning and startup of treatment systems, including conducting operator training programs.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on growth and continuous learning.
- Stay informed on current and emerging treatment designs and technologies to meet evolving performance requirements.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, specializing in water/wastewater treatment processes (PhD is highly desirable).
- At least 10 years of experience in biological wastewater treatment, process design, and the use of modeling software for environmental applications.
Preferred:
- Ability to conduct independent research and lead testing efforts, applying findings to address client-specific challenges.
- Strong skills in communication and presentation, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively, displaying initiative and innovative thinking in problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel for project development, system commissioning, client interactions, and site inspections.
- Experience in consulting, project management, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
- Exceptional recent graduates with a track record of academic achievement will also be considered.
