Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Waste Management Specialist Lead in Oak Ridge, TN.

- Ensures all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Directs waste characterization, storage, and disposition for LWMS.
- Manages project RCRA/TSCA, low-level waste (LLW), and CERCLA waste storage areas.
- Communicates with CNS environmental compliance personnel for required environmental notifications and regulatory reporting.
- Maintains project FMCSR DOT compliance program for drivers and tractors.
- Coordinates with personnel for transportation of wastewater receipts, characterization, and acceptance.
- Ships samples to off-site laboratories.
Requirements
- Shall have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, a scientific discipline, or related technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in waste management, environmental compliance, or waste transportation
- At least one specialist must have proven experience and demonstrated proficiency in wastewater treatment and liquid waste management
- Experience will include radioactive and hazardous waste characterization, packaging, storage, and disposition in accordance with RCRA, TSCA, DOE Order 435.1, and DOT regulations
