Seeking a detailed oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Coordinator. This position will be responsible to procure materials and supplies for use by OWASA Operating Departments, perform warehouse operations and manage the employee uniform program.
Key responsibilities:
· Discuss order requests with department personnel; meet with vendors to obtain and share information on products or bid procedures.
· Following purchasing regulations and OWASA policies, obtain price quotes or solicit for bids on materials and supplies and select the appropriate vendor for award of contract. Maintain procurement records and files.
· Initiate purchase requisitions. Once approved, order, receive, inspect, and store materials in the warehouse. Ensure accuracy of the vendor invoice.
· Coordinate collection and return of defective material. Complete all necessary documentation and ensure proper vendor handling.
· Enter materials receipts in work order and purchase requisition applications and submit approved vendor invoices for payment.
· Predominant point of delivery receipts for the organization; collects and distributes all packages to appropriate staff.
· Organize warehouse and maintain stock levels. Perform regular cycle counts, investigate causes for discrepancies and take action to resolve variances.
· Lead annual warehouse physical inventory.
· Manage employee uniform program. Receive weekly deliveries, reconcile receipts to invoices and coordinate resolution of discrepancies with vendor.
· Coordinate scrap metal removal; assist with disposal of surplus property.
· Acts as backup for training and certifying staff on forklift operation.
Qualifications:
· Requires a high school diploma or GED with at minimum three years of experience in warehousing and procurement in an automated environment. Associate’s degree in logistics or supply chain management a plus.
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Word as well as work order management and storeroom applications. Cityworks experience desired.
· Forklift Operator certification.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person and small group situations with vendors, public and other staff.
