Job Details
- This employee is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the facility, pump stations, laboratory, and collection system.
- Work involves monitoring all mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, dewatering and RBC system according to established standards.
- Significant wastewater or related experience desired.
- Mandatory rotating on-call and weekend/holiday duties required.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
- This position requires additional work such as weekend duty and holiday checks.
Qualifications
Preferable graduate from a vocational program in wastewater treatment with considerable experience in wastewater treatment plant operation.
Required to obtain a Grade II Wastewater License within two years of hire and a Grade III Wastewater License within 3 years of hire.
Starting hourly pay rate is $21.53 to $24.40 depending on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefit package includes health, MePERS retirement, paid vacation, sick and holidays. Additional benefits include yearly boot and clothing allowance.
