Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a GIS & Modeling Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting GIS and Modeling software and systems (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, InfoWater Pro, InfoWorks ICM, ICM Cloud Projects, and more). There will be opportunities for expanded growth and responsibilities in design technology (Civil 3D, Revit, Autodesk Forma, and more) as we continue to integrate all these systems.
This position will work with senior members of the ITS Team to learn and understand existing workflows and system requirements. Candidates should be willing to learn and develop skills specific to System Administration, Software Support, Microsoft Office, and general IT Information.

Key Responsibilities
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Candidates must work well in a team environment, be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks, and be willing to learn and develop new skills that support the responsibilities outlined below.
- Providing high level customer service consistent with IT best practices
- Providing basic troubleshooting and escalation of complex GIS issues
- Providing company-wide project support (set up, permissions, data organization, etc.)
- Develop documentation for new and existing workflows
- Prepare implementation of policies, procedures, and standards
- Work with the team to improve automation efforts
- Assist with testing new software, service packs, and patches
- Support Hazen’s GIS standards and workflows
- Occasional travel may be required
Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years of GIS experience primarily using ArcGIS Pro
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, Enterprise, and Mobile Apps
- As this is a support role excellent customer service is required
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to a wide range of technology
Preferred Qualifications
- An understanding of ESRI licensing is preferred
- Experience with Administration of ArcGIS Online or Enterprise is preferred
- Python and Model Builder experience is also preferred
- Experience working within a Helpdesk environment is preferred
