What you will do
- Operate & Optimize: Run and continuously improve paint line water treatment systems—filtration, chemical treatment, and wastewater management.
- Test & Verify: Conduct routine water quality testing and titrations; keep the process within tight specifications for both production and environmental discharge.
- Maintain & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance; diagnose and resolve equipment issues on pumps, valves, and filtration units.
- Handle Chemicals Safely: Store, handle, and inventory chemicals responsibly in accordance with OSHA and internal safety protocols.
- Document & Comply: Maintain complete logs of activities, test results, chemical usage, and maintenance; support adherence to local and federal environmental requirements.
- Champion Safety: Promote a strong safety culture across the department.
What you bring
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or specialized training in water treatment/wastewater are preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience operating industrial water treatment systems, ideally in manufacturing or chemical processing.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Able to troubleshoot pumps, valves, and filtration equipment.
- Detail Orientation: Proficient in reading gauges, running chemical tests, and maintaining accurate records.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to [e.g., 50 lbs], standing for long periods, and safely handling industrial chemicals with the right PPE.
