The Town of Greenville, NH is seeking a qualified Wastewater operator. Applicants must hold a Grade 1 or higher Wastewater Treatment certification, or be able to obtain through intra-state reciprocity. Drinking water treatment and/or distribution certification is a plus. Position requires participation in an on-call rotation, with some night, weekend, and overtime work required. Pay is commensurate with certification level and experience: Range $28.00 – $40.00/hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Greenville Operators are responsible for operation and maintenance of the Town’s Wastewater (Grade II) and Water (Grade III Treatment, Grade I Distribution) Facilities, including operation, maintenance, and limited administration. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of all physical treatment plant facilities, emergency response, process monitoring, and laboratory testing, as well as record keeping duties including data collection, organization, and retention. Applicant should be able to complete tasks with limited supervision once trained, and follow protocols to ensure all Federal, State, and local safety regulations are followed.
DESIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS: The ideal candidates will be experienced in the operation of wastewater and water treatment facilities, including an ability to learn, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, and have Scada and/or controls systems familiarity. Ability to use technology, and associated applications; Understanding of basic math and ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
