Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile, hands-on Plating Line & Wastewater Technician to oversee the daily upkeep and monitoring of our Plating and Rinse Water Recovery System. In this role, you will partner closely with our on-site chemist to keep our chrome plating line and associated systems running safely, efficiently, and in optimal condition. If you are comfortable around chemical transfers, industrial filter changes, control panel operation and the usage various style pumps, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Wastewater Recovery & Treatment
- Operate, monitor, start up, and shut down vacuum water separation systems.
- Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of DI water filtration systems.
- Transfer chemical solutions to various process vessels and holding tanks.
- Operate filter presses and perform routine filter cloth maintenance.
2. Plating line
- Assist with daily line startup and shutdown procedures.
- Assist the chemist with tank solution testing and chemical additions.
- Monitor and maintain tank levels and manage filtration systems.
- Follow the established Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule for all line equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years as an industrial operator (metal finishing or electroplating experience highly preferred).
- Mechanical & Plumbing Aptitude: Solid understanding of valves, pumps, piping, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Precision: Skilled in reading gauges, meters, and industrial instrumentation.
- Safety First: Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and chemical handling protocols.
- MA Wastewater License is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Comfortable working near industrial chemicals and in varying temperatures .
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
