We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ClO2 Field Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating operations in the field, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to protocols.
Job Summary: The ClO2 Water Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of ClO2 water treatment systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in water treatment technologies, with specific expertise in ClO2 systems. This role involves monitoring system performance, conducting maintenance, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage daily chemical blending, generator performance, and injection control.
● Maintain and optimize ClO₂ generation systems to meet safety and performance standards.
● Respond to SCADA alarms, injection variances, or generator faults in real time.
● Track and report ClO₂ dosage, consumption rates, and residual performance.
● Supervise and mentor ClO₂ Technician I and II staff.
● Assign tasks, conduct on-site coaching, and lead daily safety huddles.
● Coordinate work schedules and verify daily logs and checklists are completed accurately
● Train new personnel on SOPs, JSAs, and emergency protocols.
● Ensure full compliance with DOT, HAZCOM, SPCC, and OSHA requirements.
● Maintain SDS binders and site-specific emergency response plans.
● Track chemical inventory and delivery schedules.
● Submit daily reports, near-miss/incident reports, and downtime logs.
● Maintain generator maintenance records and calibration certifications.
Qualifications:
● Minimum 2 years experience in water treatment or chemical injection operations
● Proven knowledge of ClO₂ generation chemistry, system safety, and alarm management.
● Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot dosing systems, pumps, and sensor controls.
● Proficiency with HMI/SCADA interfaces and digital field logs.
● Valid driver’s license and certifications in H2S, PEC Safeland, Confined Space, and Forklift (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).
