We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Water Treatment Technician to join our Paint Department. In this role, you will be a vital part of our environmental and production ecosystem, ensuring our water treatment systems run efficiently and remain fully compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Operation: Efficiently operate, monitor, and optimize water treatment systems supporting the paint line, including filtration, chemical treatment, and wastewater management.
- Quality Control & Testing: Conduct regular water quality tests, chemical titrations, and analyses to maintain the precise standards required for the paint line and environmental discharge.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose system malfunctions, and execute minor repairs on treatment equipment to prevent costly production downtime.
- Safe Chemical Handling: Safely handle, store, and inventory chemicals in strict accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines, ensuring precise dosage for effective system treatment.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain meticulous, accurate logs of all water treatment activities, test results, chemical usage, and maintenance schedules.
- Environmental Stewardship: Stay current on local and federal environmental regulations, ensuring the facility consistently meets or exceeds all relevant water standards and permits.
- Safety Culture: Actively follow and promote company safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical certifications or specialized training in water treatment/wastewater management is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience operating water treatment systems, ideally within an industrial manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot pumps, valves, and filtration equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately read gauges, conduct chemical tests, and maintain precise documentation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs], stand for extended periods, and safely handle industrial chemicals with proper PPE.
