Job Description
Winelco Inc., based out of West Chester Ohio, provides contract operation for privately owned and small public water and wastewater treatment plants throughout the state of Ohio and Kentucky. We are seeking a FULL TIME candidate with a background in both operation and maintenance to operate and maintain these systems. PART TIME candidates will be considered. Candidate should live within approximately 1.5 hours from the Columbus or Cincinnati area. Hours are typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F but there is some flexibility. Overtime is often available and sometimes required. The position offers recession proof job security with opportunities for growth in a professional, team oriented environment.
The work is generally outdoors although there is often considerable driving time to reach the sites. Up to several sites are visited each day by the operator. Some time is spent filing EPA reports, performing repairs, or purchasing equipment. There is also considerable interaction with various treatment plant owners, maintenance personnel, and regulatory agencies.
The job candidate should have a minimum Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater and Ohio EPA Class 1 Water license. Candidates holding just Wastewater I in SW Ohio will also be considered.
The water / wastewater operator may perform the following tasks:
· Control and monitor the biological treatment process
· Operate pumps, motors, blowers
· Monitor flow meters
· Perform routine servicing and cleaning of plant, pipes, and equipment
· Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls
· Take samples for analysis
· Perform laboratory analyses
· Prepare reports and logs detailing plant operation

· Able to communicate with the public and co-workers
Related work performed by some operators at Winelco, Inc:
· Construct water and wastewater treatment systems and pump stations
· Fabricate pumping systems and piping
· Fabricate electrical control panels
· Construct and maintain collection and distribution lines
· Drafting of systems and system components
