Responsibilities
Job Description
- Promote a safe work environment that drives continuous improvement in all aspects of employee health and safety.
- Provide leadership and direction for hourly manufacturing employees as it relates to day to day operations and long term continuous improvement.
- Engage the workforce to reduce costs.
- Coordinate all plant resources to address issues and improve metrics.
- Work with all employees to promote a work environment that adheres to all company policies and principles.
- Coach and mentor hourly employees to become more valuable employees for the organization.
- Communicate departmental performance to all employees as it relates to safety, quality, and cost
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
- At least 3 year of experience in a front line supervisory or team lead role in a manufacturing environment. Overall knowledge of general manufacturing a must.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others
- Must be comfortable in group presentations
- Good interpersonal skills when dealing with tough employee issues
- Must be computer literate and proficient with E-mail and Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
