About Role:

Fleming Lee Shue is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented specialist with 2–5 years of experience to help us tackle complex site assessment, remediation, and compliance projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental due diligence site assessments (Phase I and II ESAs)
- Perform environmental site investigations including sampling of soil, groundwater and soil vapor following proper sampling protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct environmental oversight of contractors for large-scale remediation projects.
- Perform Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance (OMM) on existing remedial systems including SSDS, SVE, and GWTS.
- Prepare design documents for remedial systems (SSDS, SVE, GWTS etc.)
- Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and documentation
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies
- Assist in remediation scoping, design, and planning environmental monitoring programs
- Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance activities
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related scientific field
- 2–5 years of professional environmental consulting or industry experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements including NYSDEC and OER regulations and guidance documents.
- Experience with field sampling and data collection using environmental field equipment (PID, Flow Meter, Manometer, Water-Level Meter, CAMP equipment, etc.)
- History of performing maintenance and monitoring on remedial systems including groundwater treatment systems, soil vapor extraction and sub-slab depressurization systems.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
- Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation access to remote job site locations.
- OSHA 10-hr or 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus.
Compensation:
Compensation will range from $65k to $75K, and commensurate with experience.
