KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main roles and responsibilities
Monitor and report performance of Operational aspect at WTP
- Responsible to supervise Shift Supervisors and Operators in ensuring continuous plant
- operation meeting the production demand as well as treated water quality.
- Responsible to control and ensure plant operations and production equipment are running safely, efficiently, and economically.
- Responsible to assist in troubleshooting and optimizing treatment process at other WTPs.
- Responsible to monitor and supervise the start-up and shutdown activities as well as troubleshooting of process failure and process optimization.
- Responsible to communicate and coordinate with maintenance team to ensure continuous availability of critical plant equipment.
- Responsible in ensuring the operations procedures are carried out accordingly.
- Responsible to monitor and directing panel operators to take necessary action in rectifying any problem such as process warning, gas leak or plant emergency from annunciation panel or emergency control panel.
- Responsible in monitoring, planning, and ensuring adequate crew in every shift.
- Responsible to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the plant area are maintained at all times.
- Responsible to monitor work order for corrective maintenance of equipment.
- Responsible to assist in review of Plant SOP.
- Responsible to plan and schedule plant operations such as pump running schedule.
- Responsible to carry out duties given by superior from time to time.
- Responsible to raise purchase requisition for OPEX works from time to time and monitor CAPEX works.
- Responsible to report all incidents or pollution immediately to prevent fatality or other major impact.
- Other duties as needed or required by management.
Ensure WTP’ staffs knowledge enhancement in operational systems are updated and maintained
accordingly, as per company policy
- Responsible to ensure all documentation related with operation systems is updated and maintained accordingly as per company policy
- Responsible to provide assistance and guidance to all plant personnel on upgrade of knowledge on water chemistry, process control and safety with objective to improve productivity
Establish and monitor Water Safety Plan for WTPs according to company policy and procedure
- Assist WQD to ensure Water Safety Plan for WTP is established as per plan
Adherence of Safety & Health according Company’s policy and requirement
- Responsible for adherence of compliance to relevant HSE rules, regulations procedures
- Adhere to company policy and procedure on safety matters
- Support and assist in the implementation and maintenance of Plant Management Systems inclusive of Quality Management System, Safety Management System and Environment Management System.
Compliance with Air Selangor Integrated Management System (AIMS)
- Adhere to AIMS policy at all times and where relevant to participate in the management system initiative.
- Responsible to ensure the objectives are established in the management system, in line with the context and direction of the strategic organization.
- Communicates the importance of effectiveness of management system and it needs
- Responsible to ensure that management system is implemented effectively and updated
- Assist main coordinator for related case in Emergency Respond Plan (ERP), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) during crisis / emergency
Other duties as required by management

- Aware and understand the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information assets under your custodian.
- Aware and understand the whistle-blower policy and carry out daily job activity with full integrity

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering / Science / technical fields or any equivalent
- Experience in managing the operation of water treatment plant is a priority
- 1 year experience in operation of water treatment plant
- Knowledge in water treatment process
