MUST HAVE VALID CALIFORNIA WATER TREATMENT & DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR LICENSE(S) FOR THESE POSITION(S):
H2O Urban Solutions is seeking a qualified and motivated Water Treatment and Distribution Operator (Grade 3 Treatment and Distribution or higher) to provide full-time operations support for the CDCR Ironwood State Prison water system in Blythe, CA.
This position supports a groundwater-supplied community water system that includes Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Activated Alumina treatment, elevated and ground storage tanks, booster pump stations, and the full distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day operation and supervision of the water treatment plant and/or distribution system
- Monitoring and operation of RO, Activated Alumina, and blending/cooling systems
- Groundwater well oversight and source water management
- Distribution system operations including storage tanks, booster pumps, and pressure control
- Sampling, laboratory testing, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and SOPs
- Responding to operational issues and emergencies
Requirements – MUST HAVE:
- Valid California Water Treatment Operator Certificate (Grade 3 or higher)
- Valid California Water Distribution Operator Certificate (Grade 3 or higher)
- Ability to pass CDCR background clearance and complete New Employee Orientation
- Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes and distribution system operations
- Reliable transportation to the Blythe, CA facility
