Lovejoy Health Center is seeking a Medical Records Technician. Responsibilities include maintaining the records included in the patient’s health information portfolio, including but not limited to medical history, examination results, diagnostic tests, treatment methods, consents and provider/consultant letters; Filing appropriate documents received via electronic transmission or through scanning according to determined categories in a consistent and timely manner; Entering clinical data (including service dates) from external sources (diagnostic reports, specialists’ reports, immunization records, etc.) into the records of individual patients: Monitoring fax queues for information to be processed. Maintains a high level of confidentiality of patient health information, business information, and employee information to remain in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations. Must show keen attention to detail, be highly accurate and work independently and efficiently; Must have high level computer skills as well as excellent customer service, problem solving, telephone and communication skills.
