Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water distribution equipment, including pumps, valves, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to maintain optimal system performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of pipelines, tanks, and treatment facilities to identify maintenance needs or potential issues.
- Perform equipment repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery, plumbing fixtures, and control systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Collect data on water flow, pressure levels, and system performance for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Assist with construction projects related to water infrastructure upgrades or repairs, including heavy equipment operation.
- Support wastewater treatment processes by monitoring system parameters and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks and physical activities required for maintenance work or equipment installation in challenging environments.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, plumbing, or related technical fields.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems used in water treatment facilities.
- Basic math skills for data collection, measurements, and calculations essential for system analysis.
- Strong analysis skills to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively during construction or maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes, and related safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, climb ladders, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and conduct routine inspections. Pay: $23.00 - $42.00 per hour
