Job Summary
We are seeking a Lab Analyst to analyze wastewater and environmental samples, maintain lab equipment, and ensure accurate data reporting. This role supports the industrial pretreatment program and helps maintain regulatory compliance.
Pay: $25.00- $30.00 per hour DOEResponsibilities
- Analyze wastewater samples for TSS, Coliform, Ammonia, pH, and other tests
- Identify bacteria using a microscope
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment
- Collect and handle samples, following chain-of-custody procedures
- Enter and validate data in LIMS
- Maintain laboratory documentation and SOPs
- Cross-train to support industrial sampling
- Follow all lab and field safety protocols
- Serve as backup for industrial pretreatment program coordinator
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science field preferred
- Experience analyzing environmental or wastewater samples preferred
- Ability to stand ~80% of an 8-hour day
- Ability to lift 1–15 lbs regularly and 15–50 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to study and test for a Wastewater Operations License
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Work Schedule
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Some holiday work required
