Job Description:
Simon Operation Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Grade 2 Wastewater Operator to join our team in the Rutland/Wallingford area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems under the supervision of the Area Manager.
- Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.
- Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current Grade 2 Wastewater Operator certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
