We are accepting applications for a Lead Water/Wastewater Operator for our Ogallala, NE location to serve as the responsible operator-in-charge of the overall Ogallala operation and maintenance. There are a total of 6 employees who make up the workforce at this location. You will be responsible for ensuring, performing, and directing others to accomplish a variety of skilled, technical and administrative work in the operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of complex equipment and treatment processes. This position will also work closely with City employees.
- NE Grade 3 Wastewater certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
- NE Grade 4 Water certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Ability to operate a personal computer using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to be on-call for a 7-day period including weekend rounds based on a 6-person rotation and respond to after-hour emergency callouts.
- Strong organizational skills.
