Duties
- Operate and monitor programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to regulate water treatment processes.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of pumps, valves, filters, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, chemical levels, and system performance for reporting purposes.
- Perform heavy equipment operation including tanker trucks, cranes, or other construction machinery as needed for system upgrades or repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs, and coordinate equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Support wastewater treatment processes by managing chemical dosing, sludge removal, and system cleaning activities.
- Assist with plumbing repairs, basic math calculations for chemical dosages, and heavy lifting tasks during construction or maintenance projects.
Experience
- Prior experience operating water treatment or wastewater treatment facilities is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing techniques, and basic analysis skills is highly desirable.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation such as cranes or tankers will be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and understanding of safety protocols related to construction or industrial environments is beneficial.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving abilities will help ensure success in this role.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing is essential.

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
