Responsibilities
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, filters.
- Collect, analyze, and record data related to water quality parameters, flow rates, chemical levels, and system performance for reporting purposes.
- Perform basic math calculations to determine chemical dosages, flow adjustments, or equipment calibrations ensuring optimal plant operation.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues or mechanical failures promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous service.
- Assist in construction projects or upgrades within the plant facility to improve operational efficiency or expand capacity.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment handling, and routine inspections to ensure a secure working environment.
Experience
- Prior experience operating water treatment facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in industrial settings.
- Ability to perform analysis skills for interpreting data collection results accurately.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as construction machinery is a plus.
- Basic math skills for chemical calculations, flow measurements, and system adjustments are required.
Schedule and benefits
The working hours for this position will be Friday to Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is a full-time position. Applicants must have or obtain a Class A CDL, within the employment probationary period to utilize district equipment.
