We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic team player to join our Water Treatment Team as a Water Treatment Operator at our Savannah, Georgia plant.

The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Water Treatment Plant. This role includes monitoring system performance, collecting and analyzing water and wastewater samples, maintaining accurate operational records, and ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
Operate water and wastewater treatment facilities to control flow and processing
Monitor equipment, gauges, meters, and charts to ensure proper plant operation
Diagnose operating issues and take corrective action during assigned shifts
Collect, test, and analyze water and wastewater samples in accordance with regulatory requirements
Chart laboratory results, identify trends, and maintain accurate QA/QC records
Interpret test results and operational data to determine process adjustments
Read and record meters, gauges, and test results
Operate valves, gates, pumps, engines, and generators (manually or remotely)
Start and stop equipment to control treatment processes and system flow
Observe operating conditions and respond appropriately to system variations
Prepare reports and documentation as required
Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with team members and internal stakeholders
Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned
Prior experience in water or wastewater treatment operations preferred
Experience operating laboratory equipment, pumps, generators, gauges, and related tools preferred
Ability to perform control and process calculations
Strong attention to detail, recordkeeping, and documentation skills
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
