Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an entry-level engineer for our Atlanta office for a variety of water-related assignments. Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with a multi-discipline design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction.
- Working on water and wastewater projects related to municipal facilities and infrastructure.
- Preparing engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches and drawings.
- Performing engineering calculations.
- Coordinating with discipline engineers (process mechanical, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and site civil) to collaborate on design and construction activities.
- Reviewing contractor shop drawing submittals and RFIs.
- Performing field work and site visits from design through construction.
- Specific duties will vary depending on office needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil or related engineering discipline
- EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Entry Level to 4 years of experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil or related engineering discipline
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revis BIM
