Job Summary:
The Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Tech. is responsible for performing the work activities necessary to maintain facility operation and compliance with the LSI’s Pretreatment Industrial User Permit, at all times. They will make sure all guidelines and Team Member safety is being followed at all times. Performed semiskilled, skilled, technical and specialized work in the operation of the wastewater treatment facility.
Job Related Skills/Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results if needed.
- Environmental safety.
- Make regular tours of the wastewater facility; read charts, gauges, and other instruments; and record information on plant logs.
- Collect wastewater and sludge samples and perform field and laboratory analysis on samples.
- Interpret data accumulated and make equipment and process control changes.
- Perform minor maintenance and labor tasks, including general housekeeping.
- Follow Lean Manufacturing Processes; team building, consistency in high quality, preventative maintenance, good work place conditions, productive work, etc.
- Operate, inspect, and monitor SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) control panel and a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment while operating a variety of unit processes used in the treatment of wastewater.
- Suggest improvements; continuously improve the quality of all support activities.
- Tasks will vary as situations and demands change.
Administrative Skills

- Knowledge of the interpretation of laboratory data and its application to process control.
- Operational knowledge of hydraulics.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply the occupational hazards or safety precautions relating to the safe handling of extremely hazardous chemicals and the safe operation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to prevent and troubleshoot equipment failures.

Additional Information
The salary range for this role is $22.00 - $30.00 (Hourly). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. Jack Link’s provides a variety of benefits to eligible Team Members, including medical, dental and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k participation, paid holidays, and paid time off.
