Senior Water Treatment Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal drinking water treatment plants and other water treatment projects. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert in process and facility design as a key member of our broader water resources engineering team. Your work will have a direct impact on the safety, reliability, efficiency, and long-term resilience of critical water infrastructure. Based on the selected candidate’s background and interests, this position also offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and future leadership of our Water Resources team in the Fort Worth market.

In this role, you will:
- Serve as a technical expert and lead the planning, process selection, and detailed design for water treatment plant projects.
- Provide technical oversight and mentoring to project managers and engineers, ensuring sound engineering judgment, regulatory compliance, and consistency with firm standards
- Support projects across the broader Water Resources team, integrating treatment facility expertise with conveyance, storage, pumping, and utility infrastructure projects
- Prepare project documents and designs, conduct analyses, interpret data, and plan and coordinate specific aspects of water treatment engineering work
- Perform QA/QC on project deliverables, ensuring the technical accuracy and constructability of water treatment plant designs and documentation
- Oversee project teams, ensuring alignment with technical standards, project schedules, and organizational goals
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning for water/wastewater services and assist with business development efforts including client engagement and proposal development
- Prepare proposals and/or funding applications
Qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Extensive and progressive experience in water treatment facility design.
- Experience designing water treatment facilities in Texas is needed; experience in the Fort Worth / Dallas region is preferred
- Proven success in managing large and/or complex water treatment facility design projects
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design, project management, and analysis
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Valid Driver's License
