NEXGEN Asset Management is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Sacramento CA office. The position focuses on water and wastewater treatment projects from planning, design, construction, and O&M assessments.

Responsibilities
- Work on engineering planning and design projects
- Preparation of technical memoranda and reports
- Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
- Prepare permits in support of the designs
- Develop plans and specifications
- System modeling
- Data entry and analysis
- Provide engineering services during construction
- Participate in field activities
- Prepare Maintenance and Capital Improvement Plans using NEXGEN’s Industry Leading EAM Software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and associated coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
- 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Engineer-in-Training Certification
- Work well in a team environment
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with computer applications including Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Sketchup, and use of AI tools to support project work
Compensation Range
$80,000 to $90,000 annually. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.
