Supervise Water Dept. staff.
Two years water experience preferred
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and
Must possess a valid Colorado Class "C" Water Treatment Plant Operator License.
Level II Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Certification
Maintain water wells and treatment equipment
Maintain water distribution and sewer collection system.
Install water service.
Install water mains.
Ability to plan work and supervise employees.
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other City officials, system users, engineers and government agencies.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to deal with public in a cordial and professional manner.
Ability to comprehend and follow complex written and/or oral instructions.
Knowledge of backflow prevention and apparatus.
Knowledge of chemistry and mathematics.
Knowledge of confined space requirements and hazards.
Certified in the operation of a backhoe and front-end loader.
Must have or be willing to obtain Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver.
Ability to climb ladders, ascend or descend stairs, reach overhead, enter confined spaces such as wet wells and manholes.
Ability to walk, stand or lift for extended periods of time and be able to perform tasks during inclement weather conditions.
The employee shall work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
The employee shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
For emergency on call situations - this candidate needs to live within 30 minutes to the City of Brush
