Join our team as a Waste/Wastewater Treatment Operator, responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, performing routine equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This seasonal role supports high-volume operations during peak hotel season, helping to ensure safe and efficient waste treatment and maintain required certifications.
- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots hotel facility wastewater treatment plants, collection, and processing of domestic wastewater, drinking water treatment, and distribution systems.
- Completes maintenance on treatment equipment including pumps, motors, and blowers.
- Completes light-duty maintenance on rolling equipment.
- Maintains operation maintenance and repair records.
- Work in confined space entries to repair or clean equipment and tanks.
- Current certifications of level II WTP Operator and level II WWTP Operator, as administered by the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation.
- Valid Driver’s License (not revoked or suspended) with fewer than three moving violations.
- Minimum age of 18 years to operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs./23kg.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and will be a part of our random drug testing program.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.

- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
