Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Operator to join our team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water treatment sites. This role involves managing water treatment processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, analysis skills, and experience with heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) for process automation and control.
- Perform routine equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Collect, analyze, and record data related to water quality, system performance, and operational metrics.
- Operate heavy equipment such as telehandlers safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components; perform necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Assist with mobilization and demobilization of water treatment equipment.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment or materials handling.
- Maintain accurate documentation of operations, repairs, and inspections in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Follow safety protocols including customer procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience with water treatment processes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, equipment repair, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for data analysis and process calculations.
- Strong analysis skills for troubleshooting system issues and optimizing operations.
- Experience with data collection, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of waste management practices in industrial settings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 – 100 per week
