The Resource Technician I/II works under the direction of a supervisor or manager to provide technical and customer support for District programs related to water resource management. This position assists engineering, operations, and water resources staff with both field and office work to support the development, maintenance, and monitoring of District facilities and services.
Work assignments are varied and may include collecting water samples using proper techniques, recording field data, and preparing reports; assisting with mechanical, plumbing, or electrical troubleshooting of safe drinking water systems; and maintaining records for fleet and equipment management. The position also supports member communications and outreach activities, responding to inquiries by phone or email and assisting with public or educational events as needed.
The ideal candidate has strong technical and organizational skills, works well independently or as part of a team, and communicates clearly with staff, members, and partner agencies. Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical systems, data management tools, and customer service practices is important, along with the ability to analyze information, solve problems, and complete field and office tasks accurately and efficiently.
