Title: Wastewater Treatment Supervisor
Location: Maricopa, AZ
Salary: $95,000- $115,000/year + 10% Bonus
Position Overview
The Wastewater Treatment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the wastewater treatment facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of operators to maintain efficient and effective treatment processes. This role plays a critical part in protecting public health and the environment by managing the treatment of wastewater and reclaimed water.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater treatment.
- Lead, train, and develop a team of wastewater operators to maintain efficient operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of treatment processes and implement improvements as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure the reliability of equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support water reclamation and utilities operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and relevant regulations (ADEQ). Grade 4 ADEQ cert preferred
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and water treatment technologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
