The Town of Johnstown, Colorado is actively recruiting a Water & Sewer System Operator I to be part of our dynamic and passionate team. This leadership position is responsible for both operational and supervisory duties associated with the Town’s wastewater collection and water distribution systems. Responsibilities include oversite of daily operations, supervision and training of personnel, customer service, project coordination, regulatory compliance, and hands-on system maintenance. Johnstown's water systems include a raw water transmission system, a potable distribution system, 1 treatment plant, 2 elevated tanks, 3 pump stations, 5 pressure zones, and 8 PRV’s. Johnstown’s wastewater system includes the wastewater collection system, 2 treatment plants, and 2 lift stations.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of five years of experience working in water distribution, wastewater collection, or a related field, CCWP Class 4 certification in Water Distribution, and CCWP Class 3 Sewer Collection certification, with at least one year of supervisory experience.

Expected hiring range: $38.25 - $45.90/hour
