F&V Operations and Resource Management (FVOP) is a highly successful, employee-owned and growth-oriented company that assists municipal clients providing water and wastewater treatment plant operation services. Working with the owner, we provide expert operation, maintenance, and asset management for public and private systems.
We are currently looking for a talented OPERATIONS SPECIALIST to join our team in the Armada and Southeast, Michigan area.

Responsibilities
- Perform water / wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain water distribution systems (mains, valves, and hydrants).
- Operate and maintain sewer collection systems (pump stations).
- Respond to water and sewer emergencies.
- Perform water / wastewater sampling and monitoring.
- Perform laboratory analysis for water quality parameters.
- Perform housekeeping and facility maintenance.
- Keep accurate records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant water / wastewater treatment experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Possession of a Class F-4 or S-4 or higher Michigan Municipal drinking water certification, or Class L-2 or D or higher Michigan Municipal wastewater certification preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written technical directions.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and the public.
- Ability to perform on-call and weekend rotations.
- Team player who is willing to pitch in.
